Marriage Partnerships

Since its inception, the Oklahoma Marriage Initiative has maintained a multi-sector approach to implementing family-strengthening programs. The reason for this strategy is that no part of our state is immune from the effects of family decline and each sector coalition has a unique opportunity to impact families and provide opportunities to improve the statistics. Businesses and organizations throughout our state face monetary and personnel losses when their employees go through a divorce. Often, state social services accept the burden of parents who are no longer involved in the lives of their children. Strategically, it is vitally important that we have the participation of all Oklahomans to create solutions within their scope of influence.

The OMI partnerships currently include Business, Education, Government, Faith, Service and Legal. Other OMI partnerships that have emerged over time have included Media and Foundations. Both of these groups have the ability to affect societal change on a grand scale.
