Programs

The Oklahoma Marriage Initiative has been the catalyst for program development related to marriage and family practices within organizations all over the state. In addition, many organizations and agencies have been working toward the implementation of marriage services and programs for many years, and have been re-energized by the work of OMI staff and partners.

We maintain that truly changing the culture of marriage takes the commitment of people and professionals from all walks of life. It cannot be JUST the job of the church to keep families together, or JUST the responsibility of professional counselors to step in to solve problems. Early on, OMI leaders identified and began establishing several coalitions which served to facilitate discussion and the development of programs and services among professionals with the same core mission and target population. These coalitions have grown and spawned numerous projects that have been key to serving families in Oklahoma.

Currently, these coalition groups are Business, Education, Government, Faith, Service and Legal. Would you like to know more about these OMI Coalitions?
