Service Coalition

Service Coalition: As the OMI continues to build public awareness about the consequences of divorce and lack of family formation and the benefits of marriage, it is critical that therapists and counselors are partners in the strategic plan. Counselors in many areas are actively working to save marriages by providing necessary skills to assist couples in resolving conflicts. Many of the OMI PREP Workshop Leaders are therapists by profession and have agreed to deliver community-based workshops as a way to give back to the community while also implementing the PREP techniques and skills within their therapy work.

In large part, the Service Coalition has been focused over time on the development and growth of the Statewide Service Delivery System for Marriage and Relationship Education, which includes the training of professionals and paraprofessionals to deliver community-based marriage education workshops across the state of Oklahoma.
