Research From the outset, OMI leaders and advisors have insisted that programs and services be grounded in the best available research. As a result of this high-level commitment, the OMI continues to keep research a priority as evidenced from several studies, projects and surveys completed to date and plans for more in the future. This research is used for many purposes including: - The assessment of attitudes and behaviors related to marriage and marriage education services in order to maintain alignment with the public need; and to compare Oklahoman attitudes and behaviors with national trends and studies.
- The evaluation and re-evaluation of present services and programs in order to maintain stringent standards of high quality delivery as well as gain information for service modification or new service introduction.
- The utilization of OMI research data to make decisions for best practice "building blocks" to ensure a solid and forward-thinking modality.
