| | Continuing Education for Mental Health Professionals Continuing Education for Mental Health Professionals needs to be continuously and actively pursued. Through training in the Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP®), the Oklahoma Marriage Initiative provides opportunities for continuing education for mental health professionals. Many Oklahoma mental health professionals have completed the PREP® education program.
PREP® education is taught in a three-day training session. Eighteen hours of continuing education units are available for mental health professionals with a LPC, LMFT or LSW licensure.
PREP® is an excellent tool that has also been included in OMI's "Forever. For Real." events that are being held across Oklahoma. When mental health professionals participate in a "Forever. For Real." workshop, they will be helping to provide the skills needed to couples for maintaining healthy relationships.
