Counselor Education and Counselor Training
As a counselor, it is very important that you continually increase your counselor education and counselor training to enhance the services that you provide to those in your community. To assist counselors with their counselor education and counselor training, the Oklahoma Marriage Initiative (OMI) provides counselor education and counselor training in the PREP counselor education curriculum.To become a PREP counselor workshop leader within the OMI, a counselor must submit a counselor training application. Once the counselor training application is approved, the counselor can attend the counselor training at no charge!! However, in return for the counselor education and counselor training you will receive, each counselor is required to deliver this relationship education (PREP) four times in your community at no charge to the participants.
In addition to increasing your counselor education and counselor training, you can also obtain up to 18 Continuing Education Units by completing our three-day PREP counselor training.
